http://www.nheon.org/oet/nclb/

Districts recently received notification of additional funds available from round 3 and have sent in revised budget forms with requests for the funds. In addition, the Round 4 grants continue to be reviewed. If your district has NOT sent an application for round 4 yet, time has just about run out! You must send your applications ASAP! Visit the website link above for the application information. Also posted is a Current Applications Status list by district, which will indicate if your application has been received, is reviewed, or has some missing items. Contact Cathy Higgins if you have questions via email at chiggins@ed.state.nh.us.

ANNUAL TECHNOLOGY SURVEYS

======================================

The annual tech survey for schools was split into two surveys this year. One survey is for DISTRICTS and another is for EACH SCHOOL within a district. Links and a password to the survey were sent to ONE person at each district and/or SAU. Email Cathy Higgins if you have questions.

A list of surveys completed by district and school will be posted periodically over the next month. Visit the link above for this and other survey information.

The previous issue of ETNews listed several dates in January and February where you can attend free information sessions about the new ICT Literacy Standards. Don’t miss the discussions! Over time, we’ll post more of the ideas, suggestions, and materials being shared at these sessions. NHDOE will work with Local Ed Support Centers to offer future professional development sessions geared toward addressing specific areas of the standards. About ET News

ET News is sent from the Office of Educational Technology at the New Hampshire Department of Education. ET News serves as a primary e-mail communication tool about technology matters pertinent to NH educators. Current and previous issues are posted on the web at www.nheon.org/oet/etnews and include information about:

ˇ         NHDOE technology surveys and technology planning

ˇ         Federal technology funding and E-rate discounts

ˇ         Research studies, curriculum information, and professional development related to technology implementation

Requests from service providers to disseminate information about their technology products and services using the electronic newsletter ET News can no longer be accommodated due to workload priorities in OET. Providers are referred to the Reports and Statistics section of the NHDOE website, where several data reports are available in various formats, including School and SAU Information with names, phone numbers, and addresses, Student Dropout Data, and more. Go to the Reports and Statistics area of the NHDOE website at: www.ed.state.nh.us
