SPECIAL ISSUE:  Staff Changes

 

The following changes in staffing and areas of responsibility are in effect immediately within the Division of Program Support:

 

·      Chrys Bouvier now manages the federal Teacher Quality Enhancement Grant within the Bureau of Credentialing. Contact: cbouvier@ed.state.nh.us or 603-271-8049.

 

·      Cathy Higgins now manages the federal No Child Left Behind Title II Part D funding within the Office of Educational Technology. Contact: Cathy Higgins at chiggins@ed.state.nh.us or 603-271-2453.

 

·      For questions about … local technology plans, school technology surveys, technology funds from NCLB Title II Part D, State Educational Technology Plan, State Ed Tech Council, Local Educational Support Center Network (LESCN), monthly electronic newsletter to educators (ETNews), NH Educators Online, technology literacy & curriculum, E-Rate, and distance education … contact Cathy Higgins.

 

·       You may continue to direct questions about School Library Media matters to Cathy Higgins for the time being.

·     Vendor requests to participate in product presentations and to disseminate information about their technology products and services using the electronic newsletter ETNews can no longer be accommodated by existing staff. Instead, such vendors should refer to the Reports and Statistics section of the DOE website at http://www.ed.state.nh.us/ReportsandStatistics/Reports.htm. Several data reports are available in various formats, including School and SAU Information with names, phone numbers, and addresses, Student Dropout Data, and other frequently requested reports.

 

·     ETNews will continue to serve as a primary e-mail communication tool about technology matters pertinent to NH educators. Current and past issues will continue to be posted to the web at www.nheon.org/oet/etnews and news issues will still include:

 

o     Messages from DOE about technology surveys, technology planning, federal technology funding, and E-rate.

o     Pertinent research studies, curriculum information, and professional development related to technology implementation.
