Online professional development that meets your needs!

NH Environmental Literacy Survey

Dear Teacher,

We need your help.   The New Hampshire Environmental Educators, the NH Children in Nature Coalition  and a number of state agencies including the Department of Education, NH Fish and Game Department and NH Department of Environmental Services are are working together to gather information that is needed for writing a New Hampshire Environmental Literacy Plan.  Every state is being called on to develop a plan of this type in anticipation of the passage of Leave No Child Inside Legislation that is an amendment to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. This plan is being developed to ensure that there is an organized framework for expanding environmental education and in providing appropriate professional development activities.  Attached is a case for support that outlines what environmental literacy is and why it is important.  I know this is a busy time of year, but please take ten minutes out of your busy day to complete the survey.  You can easily access the survey by going to: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/nh-elp

We thank you so much for your time and appreciate all that you do for the children and youth of New Hampshire.

Sincerely,

Judy Silverberg
